Beijing in four days: the Forbidden City, imperial gardens and Badaling
Explore the published four-day, three-night Beijing route through palace courtyards, imperial gardens and the Great Wall. The itinerary starts with arrival in Beijing, keeps the Forbidden City and central streets together, sets aside a day for the Temple of Heaven and gardens, and finishes with Badaling and the Olympic Park exteriors before departure. Use the daily plan to decide which visits matter most to you, then share your dates, party size and arrival and departure times with an advisor. Reservations, visiting scope, accommodation, transport and the final service arrangements must be confirmed for your trip.
Day 1 · Arrive in Beijing
The published plan starts with a station or airport pickup and hotel check-in. There is no fixed group sightseeing on the arrival day, and meals are at your own expense. Confirm the pickup location, operating times and hotel arrangements before travel; use any remaining time according to your arrival schedule.
Day 2 · Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and city streets
The route lists Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and time around Shichahai or Qianmen Street. Forbidden City entry depends on a successful reservation. The published alternatives are a visit to Prince Gong's Mansion, or Jingshan with a refund of the Forbidden City admission. Tiananmen Square access may change because of reservations or major events; confirm the final visiting sequence.
Day 3 · The Temple of Heaven and imperial gardens
The itinerary continues to the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace. University buildings may be viewed from outside on the return journey; this is not a campus visit. Check the confirmed ticket scope, walking requirements and daily timing, including any separately charged transport or activities inside the parks.
Day 4 · Badaling Great Wall and the Olympic Park exteriors
Visit Badaling, then view the Bird's Nest and Water Cube from outside at the Olympic Park before the return transfer. The route does not promise admission inside those venues. Great Wall cable cars and other attraction transport are not automatically included. Give the advisor your onward-travel details so an early departure, luggage and the station or airport transfer can be planned.
